I had plans tonight with a friend, who’s not really a friend, he’s more like an acquaintance. He’s one of those people that you run into a lot when you’re out and you always say “we need to get together”, but then you never do. It’s weird. I used to be all about my social game. I would always have to do everything with everyone or I’d feel left out. But now I’m excited when my plans fall through. I need to get better at not making so many plans. Just doing the things that are important to me. Have you ever experienced something like this? Or am I just blabbering again?
Nik: Blabbering.
Alex: I need to get better at saying no. It’s a hard word to say, for me. Whenever someone asks me to do something I’ll try to rearrange my entire day just so I can hang. Then more often times than not I’m left stressed trying to get everything else done. I need to take more me time. Focusing on the things that make me happy. I can’t stop talking right now? I need a glass of wine.
